Disclosure of Interest
Bramcote Crematorium was built in 1979 as a joint venture between Broxtowe Borough Council and Erewash Borough Council serving the local and wider community.
Charitable Donations
Each year the crematorium chooses a charity to benefit from its metal recycling scheme in which artificial joints, dental implants, brass coffin handles and other metal recovered from the cremation process are recycled.
The recycling scheme is operated by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM).
The Crematorium asks bereaved families if they want the metal returned to them or if they prefer it to be donated to the scheme at the time of arranging the funeral.
